Oro Valley Homes & Real Estate

Oro Valley, located Northwest of Tucson, sits at the base of majestic Pusch Ridge on the western edge of the Santa Catalina Mountains. In recent years Oro Valley has distinguished itself by being awarded positions on several “Best” lists.

In March 2008, Oro Valley was in the top half of Fortune Small Business magazine’s   list of “100 Best Places to Live and Launch”.  Oro Valley has also appeared in lists of the “Ten Most Playful Towns in America”, “American’s Top Rated Smaller Cities” and “50 Fabulous Places to Raise Your Family”.  Some of the criteria used by publications to select the “Best” were the environment, student-teacher ratios, school performance ratings, library programs, access to arts and recreation, and library programs.

Incorporated in 1974, Oro Valley today boasts a population in excess of 40,000. Oro Valley offers a growing public parks system, easy access to the arts, notable outdoor amenities including golf courses and country clubs, a statistically high performing public school system, and a thriving business base.

With its many resorts, Oro Valley is a paradise for golfers. Some of its most well- known resorts and country clubs are the Oro Valley Country Club, Hilton El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort, and The Golf Club at Vistoso.  Two more resorts, the Omni Tucson National Golf Resort & Spa and the Westward Look Resort, are just a couple of miles outside of Oro Valley.

Oro Valley is also earning a reputation as a regional hub for the biotech industry and its Innovation Park is a primary employment center.  The campuses of Ventana Medical Systems, Sanofi-Aventis, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, and Northwest Medical Center/Hospital are also located in Innovation Park.   Other major employers in Oro Valley include Integrated BioMolecule Corporation and Honeywell.

With all that Oro Valley has to offer in the way of lifestyle, location and views should not be overlooked.  Oro Valley enjoys stunning views of the Santa Catalina, Tortolita and Tucson Mountains, as well as breathtaking views of Tucson, particularly at night when the city lights sparkle like a blanket of diamonds.

As for the homes themselves, Mediterranean, Contemporary and Southwest are the favored styles in Oro Valley.  Single-family homes, condominiums, townhouses, golf and retirement communities, custom homes on acre plus lots and horse property may all be found in Oro Valley.

Oro Valley’s signature neighborhood is the famed Master Planned Community of Rancho Vistoso.  Rancho Vistoso includes homes with price ranges for all families, including million dollar estates. The active adult retirement community of Sun City is also located in Rancho Vistoso, and the Rancho Vistoso Golf Course is considered one of the top three in Tucson.

We invite you to start your tour of Oro Valley homes here, and if you have any questions regarding either Oro Valley or Tucson, please contact us and we will be happy to help.  We are also available to show you homes in Oro Valley or anywhere in the Tucson metropolitan area. We would love to help find the right home for you!
